Media Upload Broken in WP 3.2.1 Multisite

  • When trying to upload a file in a custom field (like so), I got the Add Media dialog that normally appears in a shadowbox filling the full page. When I uploaded an image and clicked “select”, it returned me to a blank white screen with the URL: https://localhost/wp-admin/media-upload.php?type=file&tab=type&post_id=-1&simple_fields_dummy=1&simple_fields_action=select_file&simple_fields_file_field_unique_id=simple_fields_fieldgroups_14_1_0

    , and the image was not saved.

    Downgrading to WordPress 3.1.4 fixed the issue.
