Media Upload Broken

    After upgrading to 4.4 media uploads get broken. When I upload the media files, they appear as broken icon with only a View link and even that does not work. I can see the image files in the uploads folder just fine, so the image gets uploaded and is not a permission issue.

    Also I checked the database entries for the attachment post type and all newly added media files have ID 0. Should this be happening like this??

    Media gallery is also broken in tiles mode and only shows the broken newly added media in the list mode.

    Would appreciate if someone could shed some light on this or have the same issue with media uploads.
