I am having problems using the media uploader.

How do I configure what directory that I want it to upload to?

This is the error that I get. The directory
The uploaded file could not be moved to (I removed the first part of the path info) /public_html/wp-content/uploads/2010/05.
The path is right, but I suspect that it is because it shows a . at the end of 05 when the directory does not have . at the end.

What file is this information configured in?

    Thanks.

  • The settings for the storage of upload file is under
settings > miscellaneous but the folder /2010/05 is generated when you upload a file on the specific date on your blog. If your path folder is different from the actual folder name, then try to change the folder path. Remove the “.” and try again.

    Thanks for the reply.

    Here is the error
The uploaded file could not be moved to /usr/home/dragonmast/domains/sheridans-shenanigans.info/public_html/wp-content/uploads/2010/05.

Here is the path using ftp.
    /domains/sheridans-shenanigans.info/public_html/wp-content/uploads/2010/05

seems to be the same path, but it is not working.

Under miscellaneous it just shows wp-content/uploads

    Thanks

Still need some help here. This is still not working and while I can post with ftp, I want my wife to be able to eaily post using the built in upload tool.

    Thanks.

Fixed. It was a permission issue as writing on the server. Used ftp to check the folder property and checked the writing permissions. Now no problems.
