Media tabs missing in twenty ten

Update – although I have quicktabs at the top of the editing window there is no html shown in the window only plain text.

Have you tried:

– deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem? If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

– switching to the Twenty Ten theme to rule out any theme-specific problems?

– resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin? Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

Well the only plugin at the momemt is Akismet, but I have deactivated that with no success.

Same problem when I switched back to twenty ten.

Will try resetting the plugins folder.

duhhhh!! found the problem – User error – disable visual tabs when writing was checked.

Feel like a Dolt, but thanks for the help anyway, this is a great place for those new to wordpress!

There should probably be a law restraining old dogs like me from fiddling with new toys.
