Media Press – Maintain Original Image Size

  • Hi

    I have users uploading images via mediapress – they are large files – sometimes over 5,000 pixles, 7 – 8mb.

    It seems like MediaPress is resizing / compressing the images down to about 2mb (same dimensions).

    I’d like the images to maintain their origignal size.

    Is that possible?

    Hi,
    Thank you for using MediaPress.

    In MediaPress, we do not show the original image by default. We do create 3 sizes of an image other than the original and those are used for display.

    Please visit Dashboard->MediaPress->Settings->General
    You will find there ‘Media Size settings’ section.

    Please select ‘Original’ in the ‘Image size for single media page’ and ‘Image size for lightbox’ settings. That should make MediaPress use the original image.
