    Do I need a media player to play audio and video files? Even linking to files on another server doesn’t work and I can’t insert them into a post either?

  • If you’re “linking” to an audio/video file, then it won’t play… you’ll get a link just like any other link. Unless you use any of the media plugins that will look for linked media files and give you a player to play them.

    But if you’re “embedding” then, no, you don’t need any thing else. Just make sure you insert the embed code from the HTML editor (not the Visual editor)!
