Media not uploading

    Novice user
    I have set up WP 7.7.1 with XAMP as a localhost.
    I can access the WP dashboard fine but cannot get media to load into Library.
    Add New goes through the motions but nothing in Library
    I can create pages ok. Add media does not work

  • As of today, there is no WordPress 7.7.1. We are “only” at WordPress 6.0. So what exactly have you installed there? Are plugins already present, if so which ones? Is there enough free disk space available?

    My apologies. I got mixed up. Yes WP6.0 installed.Plenty of disk space.(170GB)
    1 plugin. Classic editor.

    What exactly is the problem in the Media Library? Are you unable to upload files or are you “just” not seeing thumbnails?

    What does Tools > Site Health say? Is there a server component missing?

    Media library does not show any images at all.
    Add New appears to work but no image showing.
    Site Health shows message at top “Results are still loading”
    Site Health Info page shows items but none of the dropdown arrows do anything.
    Copy to Clipboard collects nothing, previous Ctrl/C still showing.
