• I know very little about web design, but thought I knew enough to update a page that was already created. So far, I dont. Please help.

I need to change the menu link in the following section of code:
    <div class=”printicon”><img src=”/images/print-icon-75.png” border=”0″ alt=”” /></div>

I THOUGHT that I could use the insert media function to do this. However, I get this error message when I try to upload anything: Unable to create directory /home/paulo/public_html/wp-content/uploads/2009/02. Is its parent directory writable by the server?

So. My two questions are: 1) Is inserting a media link to the new menu the appropriate way to update the menu and if not, what is?
and 2) What do I need to do to change the permissions on the folder?

    Any help is appreciated.

  • chmod /home/paulo/public_html/wp-content/upload to 777 or 755

Thank you for your prompt response but I dont understand. ??
What link do I use to get to a place that I can change the permissions? I tried a few variations of the one above but could not get it to work.
