  • Do you mean when you want to add an image, the media library keeps loading (turning circle) and no images are shown?

I have that situation since the upgrade to 4.3

Same problem here! I can see the preview of my media when opening Media Library from the menu in the Dashboard, but I don’t see anything if I click on “Add media” while creating a new post.

I am also seeing a lot of memory exhausted errors in the errorlog, sometimes with relations to wp-compression.

I am even not seeing images in the media library ??

hi how are you guys doing with it now? mine refused to upload new medias too and i am not able to insert any new media.
i have tried to deactivate all plugins but failed.

I’ve just noticed that the Media Library preview is fine when I edit an existing post. But when I create a new post, the Media Library doesn’t show anything, and as soon as I save a draft of this new post, the Media Library preview is displayed!

Is this behaviour the same for you guys?

    Hey guys

Thanks for quick answers! I am very happy to hear that it is not only me!

My problem is exactly like all of you describe, but i can’t open the gallery at all, i can’t upload or put anything in to post ect.

    Im fucked.. ??

    Hi guys,

After some investigation I found information about a bug which is fixed in the upcoming release of WordPress (4.3.1). I just tried it myself and everything works like a charm now!!

Check out this article and change the line in the taxonomy.php file (don’t forget to backup the file). Than create the plugin file, save it and visit your website. Within a minute I could access the media library again.

There is some text about a 4 minute extreme load when activating the plugin, but that has been fixed, so don’t worry.

    Hi F5pweb,
I didn’t have any performance issue after updating to WP4.3, and I don’t see the link between the “high cpu load” bug and the Media Library problem, but anyway, I’ve done the fix. And nothing has changed, I still can’t see the content of the Media Library when I create a New Post, until I save draft or publish the post.

    Hey F5pweb,

Just like Lucile, the fix haven’t worked for me either..

Fantastic. thanks for the tips. It worked well for me.
Hope the next release wil be available soon, cause that’s a very annoying bug.

I have this same problem. I installed a new, fresh WordPress version (4.3) on my website and the problem popped up.

I solved the problem as follows: In the wp-admin map is a file named upload.php. I replaced this file with an old upload.php file. In my case the one of WordPress 2.8, of which I’m sure works correctly.

    Hi Guys

    Basically i have 2 problems:

    (1) Same problems with lucile. When i tried to click “insert media” from a new post it doesn’t show any response.
    (2) Same problem with number 1, but it happen on text editor. When i tried to click “text editor” it doesn’t show any response.

I’ve tried all of your suggestion, but it doesn’t work at all.
    Any alternative tips?

    Thanks

Got it. My issues were – a) Png files were not visible b) jpg images were appearing broken. For problem a) I replaced Pmg files by Jog files. For b) What I found is that the images if uploading from a redirected URL failing to render in Media Library. For example I stored images in a sundomain and created a redirection to it in server. Under such scenario the media library Php for add/edit image was not finding the image. So now I created two copies – one in so-content/uploads and the other in the redirected URL. Now media library can find my images.
To be sure I changed the file permissions in both directories to 644. Thank you all for your help

I am having the exact same problems as everyone on one of my client’s site. At first I thought it might be a browser issue. Quickly realized that there was not a need to update the site since upgraded to 4.3 till now. After reading this forum, I am convinced that the issue is with 4.3.

Images are not uploading. The existing images in the library are there, but the information for each image is not showing on the right, nor can I insert an existing image into a post/page.

Hi there! Having the same issues as you guys, I cannot access my library, nothig is working at it should after the update to 4.3.

My site is a cinema web, and we are losing a lot of readers because of a problem we cannot solve until they give us another update to solve the disaster they have made.

Reading I discover that the main problem is not that the media library does not work, the problem is that the amount of space use for our plugins, images, videos and so on is doubled by something they have put in the upgrade, that is why when you disable plugins you get to see the library fine, but is not a permanent solution, cause you will need to disable more plugins each day.

This is a nightmare, but I guess we will have to wait.
If you know of any kind of solutiom I will be truly grateful

    Thanks
