Media library not displaying

Media Library link does not show any uploaded media. In addition to this problem, I am not able to upload a featured image when editing or creating a new post. I have previous posts that have featured images, but when I try to add a featured image to a new post the select files button does not respond, nor am I able to upload from URL, and when I try via the media library under the dashboard no images are shown, while media library under the post featured image upload displays a list of images but does not allow me to select the image to upload to the post.

I have hit a road block :/
