media library never loads!

reactivate the default theme and try again, if the problem goes away then the lovecraft theme is the problem, if it doesn’t go away post again and we’ll take a pass at some other troubleshooting stuff.

I have done as you advised me. I changed it to another theme, uploading pictures still didn’t work. Then changed it back to lovecraft and media library still doing the same thing…

ok, deactivate all of your plugins (don’t worry, your settings are all safe in the database), reset the theme back to the wordpress default and then clear your web browser’s cache (different browsers do this in different ways so you may have to research this if you’ve never done it, it’s pretty simple to d0 though)

now reload the page and try to upload media. if it works then the next step is to reactivate the theme and see if the problem returns. if it doesn’t come back, then start reactivating your plugins one by one and after each one, try uploading some media. if the problem comes back after you reactivate a plugin then you know that it’s the one that’s causing you the problem.

if you get a moment can you list the plugins (active and inactive) and other themes you’ve got installed? just because a theme or plugin isn’t active doesn’t mean it’s not causing problems…

I have currently a lot of themes, because I have been trying to find the perfect one. Here they are:

InterStellar (on which media library works)
Ascent(media library works)
forever (media library in customization doesn’t work)
heradino mag (media library works but not in customization)
hermes mag (media library works)
penscratch (media library doesn’t work when Trying to upload header)
twentyfifteen, twentyfourteen, twentythirteen (cannot upload things like header

the best advice i can give you is to delete all of the themes you’re not using and any plugins you’re not using/planning to use. even though they’re not in use they still can affect core functionality of wordpress by loading their dependent files (like jQuery) in the wrong place and multiple times with different versions. remove anything that absolutely doesn’t have to be there and see what happens…
