Media Library – Missing wp-post entries for media
-
We recently migrated a multi-site to a single site. The News post images show correctly on the pages, but there are some images that ARE NOT APPEARING when we go to the media library to select/add/update any media. Looking at the DB, it appears like each wp-post record for some of the older images are missing.
When I add a media entry to the media library, I see a single entry in wp-post (The post_parent field has 0.) and 3 entries for that post id in wp-postmeta (_wp_attached_file _wp_attachment_meta _edit_lock). These have a new post id. Does that sound correct?
When I add a post with the image in the content, I see a wp-post entry (post_type = post) and the src url in the post_content column. I also see several core entries in wp-postmeta (_edit_lock and _last_edit). These have a new post id. In addition, the image record in the wp-post field post_parent is updated with the post id from the content post record. Does that sound correct?
We tried using Fix Media Library plugin to get them back but that didn’t seem to help.
Any suggestions on how to fix the missing wp-post entries and also update the parent_post field for those being referenced?
Thank you!
