After installing the plugin, all users with roles other than Administrator can no longer see the items in the Media Library. I verified it was this plugin by deactivating and reactivating it while using a non-administrator user account. As soon as I deactivated it, the Media Library items became visible. As soon as I reactivated it, they became invisible once again.

I have not tested this part, but I will let you know when I am able to recreate this.

This will be fixed very soon, releasing a new version completely re-written. Will keep you posted. Thanks for using the plugin.

I confirm that the current version does have this issue. And in the new version, its solved. Yet to work on few things before I could publish.

    Hey @barneyfotf,

I released a new version of the plugin, UI is well designed and contains more features. This issue is resolved.

I installed the update. Now when I open Robust search it immediately pops up a “Confirm Deletion” window, which partially is covering another popup window whose name I cannot see. Clicking either the Cancel or the Delete buttons does nothing. I can’t get rid of the popups, nor do anything with the window underneath. The plugin is now unusable.

What are the exact steps to reproduce? I can’t see such popup. Maybe another plugin is messing up the popup. Can you send the info about the plugin from health section. I will be happy to help

Are you using safari / chrome or firefox? Can you also try reinstalling the plugin?

Here is me deleting and re-installing the plugin. Can’t see any popup issues.

I’m using Chrome. I deleted the plugin, cleared the site’s cache, then reinstalled it. Same results.

Do you have any caching plugin installed for your wordpress site? If you have, delete the cache. It might be chaching plugin files.

Also you can go to wp-admin/site-health.php?tab=debug
Then click on copy site info button and post the information. Or use some website where you can share the text and then delete it after I get the info. This will help me see what versions you are using.

You can use this site to paste the info and share the link. Then you can delete it afterwards.

    • I see a caching plugin provided by wp-engine, WP Engine Cache Plugin.
      – You may need to login to the dashboard and clear cache for once.
    • The other two suspicious plugins are: Wordfence Security, Redirect. Try to disable them for a moment, and check if the issue persists.
    • I tried the plugin after installing the same php version and wordpress version, still its working perfectly on my end.

Also I see object-cache.php true. My guess is, it already cached the old version of files in plugin, and even if you installed the new version, because the old files are cached, its not reading new assets from rus-plugin.

    ### wp-dropins (2) ###

    1. advanced-cache.php: true
    2. object-cache.php: true

I made this plugin for free, also its opensource. I tried all the things to help you, I’m sorry if its not working for you. Can you share a screenshot of the RUS plugin affected page, if its not fixed.

I truly appreciate the work you’ve done to try to resolve this. Unfortunately, after inactivating the WordFence and Redirection plugins, then clearing the cache in both the site and the WP Engine portal, the problem persists. If no one else reports the issue, my guess is that it’s something specific to our site. I’ll try to find an alternate solution. Thanks, again, for your help!
