    Hi,

Recently I have been running into issue using Elementor Pro’s Popup Builder. I have been unable to add images from my Media Library to popups, because the Media Library shows up as empty when I click on “add image”. It is not empty, there are in fact hundreds of images in it.

I contacted Elementor Support and gave them access to my site admin. By a process of elimination, they discovered that Polylang Connect appears to be the culprit. When this extension is deactivated, the Media Library loads perfectly and displays all its images. As soon as Polylang Connect is reactivated, the Library once again erroneously shows up as empty.

I actually really like Polylang Connect, and need it for my site. However, this bug is a real showstopper, as I also need Popup Builder and Elementor Pro.

Can you help crush, or work around this bug please?
    Thanks,
    Ric Zito

    Hey @riczito

Sorry to hear about this. Well, I am not sure why Polylang Connect would be the issue. Its function is to work elementor templates.

Are your media items translated? When you are working with multiple languages. Your media items must be translated.

WPML and Polylang Pro do this automatically while Polylang Free does not.

Hi, thanks for replying. Do you mean that I need to have a media library for each language? The site is in FR, EN and DE. Does each image have to be in triplicate, once for each language?

I was not aware of this. Is there a tutorial somewhere I can refer to?
    Thanks!

OK, I am starting to understand. The issue is I had my Media Library displaying images in Grid view, not List view, so I didn’t see the little flags and + signs. I will go through the whole Library and “translate” the images. Hopefully that will solve the problem! If not, I may need to get back to you.

    Thanks for your help.

Try with 1 or 2 images 1st. Then see if you can use them in Elementor. Should be fine.

Thanks very much! I just followed your advice, and immediately things are starting to work correctly. The “master” language images (in this case French) all appeared as soon as I translated the first two images, and in the secondary languages I could see the two images I had translated. I could integrate them into Elementor as expected.

I will go through my library now and translate all the rest. Thankfully it’s a 2-click process. No need to change names or metadata. So hopefully it won’t take too long!

No problem. I know its a pain. Especially if you have a large site that is already established.

    Good luck!
