Media library is blank and can't upload images into posts

  • Can’t upload or edit edit any images and my media library is empty – though I do see the library when I click on the ‘Set feature image’ and click on media library from there. I tried deactivating the plugins but that’s not working.

    I do see this message on the ‘Theme’ settings: “Please change the path /hermes/waloraweb002/b437/suburbancc/wp-content/themes/ovid chmod to 755 otherwise all images might not display correctly. You can ignore this message if you have already changed it to 755.” Could this be the problem?

    I’m also having the same problem… i’m not familiar with how to roll back to the previous version on WordPress…

    Try deactivating all of your plugins to explore whether any could be responsible. If none are, keep all plugins deactivated and switch to the Twenty Fifteen/ Fourteen theme to see whether it could an issue with your theme.

    I deactivated all plugins and that didn’t work… I then changed to Twenty Fifteen theme and also the Twenty Fourteen theme and that didn’t work…

    I also tried e-installing the latest WordPress but that didn’t work either…

    There were no problems accessing media library / adding media to posts / setting a featured image with the previous version of WordPress…

    Any further help would be greatly appreciated…

    yep, switched to the Twenty Fifteen/Fourteen theme and it works fine. It’s my theme.
