Media Library Images are Invisible

  • I have ruled out plugin conflicts. I am using the latest version of Elegantthemes DIVI, a good product. No mods. Clean CSS. Website almost complete, then suddenly: I can upload an image into the Media Library, but it will be invisible everywhere, no thumbnail, and it will not appear on a page. This is true no matter what image or how many. It was working fine, then just stopped in the middle of work, for no apparent reason. I reinstalled an image that I had deleted before it broke, and that one worked fine. But it will allow no more additional images to be visible. Any ideas?

    Here is more information: I tried changing to the 2015 theme. No help. I checked the permissions on the folders. All 755. Should be fine. Still broken.
