    Because the image folder was too big, I transferred it by FTP.

    In the past, the files have shown up in the Media Library but not this time. What’s the fix?

  • A few things you might double check:

    1. Permissions on the images and the directory they are in
    2. Check the source path to the image to make sure its correct

    Permissions are 755. The images are there and they show up in posts, and when the site moves from development they will be there.

    They are not registered in the media library so you can’t find them, including for making them a featured photo.

    Here is a check-list of some items that you might try, there may be an issue with one of the paths not getting updated correctly…
