    Hi everyone,

Thank you for spending the time looking at this… I did try and find a similar topic on here but couldn’t find anything as I wasn’t 100% sure what to search for. My question is this:

Is it possible to upload assets to the media library and not to use the default file structure: /uploads/2015/04/NAMEOFFILE.*? I would like to link people to a friendlier path. Perhaps: /documentation/pdf/NAMEOFFILE.pdf?

Does that make sense? Let me know what you think.

    Many thanks,
    James

No, to do that you’d have to upload them separately using SFTP or your hosting panel’s file manager.

    Hi James,

Thank you for your reply. I thought that was the way of doing it but wondered if there was a way within WordPress. So that I can do it all whilst on the website.

    Thanks again!
