Media library doesn't show the image

  • Hi, I have website under WordPress 4.2.3 with Mystile woocommerce theme. I run this e-commerce website about 4 months ago and everything was fine until last month, when I wanted to add another product to my media library. In library it shows the uploading complete but instead of showing the thumbnail of that image it shows broken file image (note: I don’t get any message for error). I tried different browsers, deactivate plugins and change the theme to one of the simplest one but it doesn’t work. By the way I’m not tech guy so any help please with simple language.

  • Same here..have several cloned sites from the site in question that I haven’t upgraded, and they work fine.

    The one with 4.2.3 – image issue like OP.

    The thumbnail images in my Media Library don’t show up either in WP 4.2.3, they stay blank. Only in Edit I can see them. If I ad them to the website, I don’t get to see anything either.

    I controlled the Upload folder with FTP, everything is there and correct. I controlled htaccess file: Nothing wrong. I controlled WP Media settings: Nothing wrong. I tried 4 different themes: the problem stays, so it is not in the theme.
    I installed NextGen Gallery to see if the problem would exist there too: No!, nothing wrong. All images show up fine.

    If anybody knows where the problem could be situated, please let me know. There will be more than 1 user on this website and I am sure many will use Media Library, so this has to be solved.

    Same problem here. I didn’t even update to 4.2.3 on my own. I just had a notification on my dashboard that the automated update somehow failed and from there, my media library won’t load. After successfully updating to the latest version, it still won’t work for me.

    Ideas, anyone?
