Media Library Blank

    Been running WP on this site for quite a few years. Not sure what is happening suddenly, albeit no changes were made for a while aside WP upgrades when released.

    Should show at least 50 images. I restarted Apache. Checked logs. Nothing there.

    Disabled all plugins, problem persists.

    The wpcontent/uploads folder is set to 755 and always has been. Tried 777 too. No fix.

    I cannot even upload new images like png file:

    services.png An error occurred in the upload. Please try again later.

    Running:
    WP Version 5.5.3
    PHP 7.4
    upload_max_filesize is 64M

    I would appreciate help on this. Thank you. Still getting errors just trying to upload new images to the media library.

    Currently, I see all the images in the library again mysteriously, but can’t upload new ones.
