    Hi David

    About 3 months ago Media Library Assistant started timing out before loading. I have tried reinstalling but to no effect.

    I love the plugin so hope you can help ??

    My WordPress environment looks like this:

    • Windows 10 PC
    • PHP version: 7.4.33
    • WooCommerce version: 7.3.0
    • WooCommerce REST API package: 7.3.0
    • WooCommerce Blocks package: 9.1.5
    • Action Scheduler package: 3.5.2
    • Log directory writable: yes
    • WordPress version: 6.1.1
    • WordPress multisite: no
    • WordPress memory limit: 1 GB

    Thanks for your report. I assume you are having a problem with the Media/Assistant admin screen. There are two common causes of slow loading, and you can find and fix them on the Settings/Media Library Assistant General tab. Navigate to that screen, then:

      • Scroll down to the “Where-used Reporting” section and make sure all four “Where-used database access tuning” dropdown controls are set to “Disabled”. These should be disabled by default, but if they are enabled it can take a while to compile the information each time the Media/Assistant screen is accessed.
      • Scroll down to the “Media/Assistant Screen Options” section and look at the “Entries per page” option in the Table Defaults subsection. If this is set to a large number, try reducing it to something like “20” to see if the problem is mitigated. This option is also available in the Media/Assistant “Screen Options” area but if that screen doesn’t load you can set it here.
      • Scroll to the bottom and click “Save Changes”, if you changed anything, to save your new settings.

      I am marking this topic resolved, but if the above suggestions do not resolve the problem, post an update with any additional information you can supply and I will investigate further. Thanks for your interest in and positive comments about the plugin.
