Media lib confusion

    Uploading an image to the image lib and using a name that has been used before BUT DELETED makes THE OLD image and thumbnail show up instead of the new. ALWAYS! This has been a bug since forever ago and the only work around is to rename the new image – but then I don’t get my preferred name.

    Regenerating thumbnails doesn’t help.

    I’m unable to replicate such behavior. An earlier, now deleted spammy reply, had indicated the cause is likely caching. I’m inclined to agree. If you clear any caches involved, you should see the updated image. In some cases you could get an image not found error if the new image is in a different year/month folder than the original.
