• I’m attempting to import media into a new installation. It’s a huge library of images and the imports have failed, incomplete. I’ve deleted the partial imports and started over after editing my xml into a number of smaller xml’s, but it doesn’t look like those deletions were complete. You know how, if you leave a page in ‘trash’ and then save another with the same name a ‘-1’ is added to the end? That’s what’s happening with the images when I attempt to re-import them. An image called feather.jpg becomes feather1.jpg. Of course, that loses the file associations. How can I truly, fully delete these images so these ‘ghosts’ disappear?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

First delete all media from trash which you recently mark as trash. You can easily identify it by current date which showing list view for media.

Then wait for 5 to 10 minute that all recent images deleted or not.If not then delete it.

Then start your partition import functionality again.

    Hope this will help you!

There isn’t a ‘trash’ for media. My only choices are for
Edit | Delete Permanently | View | Copy URL to Clipboard

There isn’t a Trash option like there is for everything else. That’s what threw me when I saw this going on. There doesn’t seem to be any way for me to flush this memory of the files. I”m on WordPress 6.0, BTW.
