Media images not showing

  • I moved my site to a new windows server running IIS. I have set the permissions for all files and folders but when I upload an image it shows the thumbnail in the media listing but when you click on it the edit page is blank. Also if I try to go to the image via a browser using the url of the uploaded image I get a 500 error. If I edit the image within media listing and save it then it will show the image. I have checked the DB and the image URL in postmeta look fine.

    When I insert an image to post it just gives the missing image box.

    It appears that newly uploaded images have this issue. All original images are fine.

    Anyone have any suggestions?

    I am running the latest version of wordpress, themes and plugins.

    flyfishredding.net but all the live images are fine. It is new ones I try to add.

    did you upload / update any plugin / theme recently?

    Nothing has been changed. I did discover that when uploading an image it creates several sizes. Only the original image does not show. All the images at different sizes do work if you view them in a browser. Not sure if this helps figure the issue.

    Also, if I edit the image within wordpress then the image shows up.

    Still no success. I tried to update permissions for files and folders but still the original size image is not accessible but the other sizes created are.
