    Hi,

I had posted this issue over an year ago, bringing this up again.

In the blog linked below, I had been using Media Grid, which when opened in Lightbox used to display alt title, when I first started using the plugin (upto at least version 4.9.1 it still does). After updating it to the latest version, the title is displayed instead of alt title. I’m a beginner to this, so when I initially installed the plugin, and the only thing it displayed was alt title, I went ahead with giving the caption or title I wanted displayed in the alt title slot.

When the query didn’t get a positive answer earlier, I simply downgraded the plugin, and it worked well. But unfortunately (or fortunately for the larger crowd), the newer versions have much better features (kudos to the team), so I have to utilize those. Now the issue is the lightbox displaying the title, which I have given some random words generally, and I have over 5000 images on the blog, so changing it one by one isn’t feasible either. I would really appreciate some help on this matter.

    Thank you.

  • Hi there,

    I hope you’re having a good day.

I’ve checked your site, and your blog page but couldn’t locate where you used the Media Grid widget nor the lightbox functionality.
Could you please provide the page link that has the issue?

    Thanks

    Hello,
Thanks for your response. Please check the link below

    https://www.designnuance.com/?p=27830&preview=1&_ppp=9ef74227eb

Please note that I’ve added custom css to not display the caption as it shows the title, so no text would be displayed.

    Hi there,

You can now control the lightbox title source directly from your Global Lightbox Settings as shown here, and it’ll be reflected onto our Media Grid widget, so please download and install this version on your site and let me know if you need further assistance.

On the other hand, you can use this option to hide the lightbox title instead of using Custom CSS.
    Regards.

    Hello,

-I already tried changing the global settings, and even contacted the Elementor support team, who logged in and checked this. They mentioned since it’s another plugin, the settings are somehow not working. The plugin is overriding the settings.

-Currently, I do have the latest version of Premium Addons.

-I haven’t turned off the Show title option as you mentioned, because there are over 300 posts, and since initially the caption was being displayed, all of them have the show title button active, changing it individually would not be feasible, hence I’ve just done that using custom css.

But the issue is not not displaying it, it’s actually to have the option to display the alt title or description. For some reason, despite using the Elementor lightbox, it is overriding the lightbox global settings.

    Thanks for looking into this

    Hello.

Thanks for taking the time for this. I installed the file you sent, it hides the title altogether now. Tried changing colors on global setting to make sure nothing’s amiss there. Still nothing.

    Hello,

I’ve rechecked your page and I can see the title -Alt text- displayed correctly as shown here. Please make sure all your images have alt text.
