Media gallery only shows image description-images gone

    After activating the plugin Version: 1.6.5.4, all of the existing images (.jpg) in the media gallery are gone, just the file name appears.

    The links to the images are still intact in the wp-content folder.

    (I did not do a “bulk smush it”, I simply activated the plugin. After deactivating it, the image thumbnails are still not showing.

    I found something about resetting the file permissions to default but I don’t know how to do this.

    This happened to me also, still trying to fix.

    1. Basically, activated WP Smush it on V4 of wordpress.

    2. Attempted to do a Bulk Image Compress

    3. Failed

    4. Discovered I could no longer upload or view my images within Media Library (Images on the site were fine)

    5. Disabled then Deleted the plugin,

    6. And still cannot upload or view my images within Media Library .
