• Hi there,

    Short story is easiest.

Moved my site onto another server for SSL reasons. It’s now up and running which is good but…

Not all images are being shown in the Media Gallery. They are listed as there but comes up with the broken image error icon.

I don’t want to re-upload all the missing images as i’d need to reattach them all individually to each post and page. Is there a way I can upload them via FTP and link them to the media gallery under their existing names and file paths?

Could there potentially be a way by editing the database? (Not sure if possible)

    Any ideas anybody?

    In Settings | General:

Did you change your WordPress website URL and Site Address URL to the new https:?

In the wp_postmeta table, where the featured images/thumbnails are stored, they are only relative paths.

I haven’t activated the SSL certificate yet as didn’t want to add another ‘thing to do’ on top of trying to restore the broken images. It’s still running ‘http’ minus the ‘s’
