    Hi,

    I run into a strange behavior with media after transferring a site to godaddy using duplicator plugin with manual extract of the files.

    on my development environment I can see all the images in the library and can change images in posts very easily.

    After a transfer to the live environment I cannot see the images in the library default view “all media items” using “all dates”.
    Using FTP I can see that all the images are in the uploads folder
    All the files were uploaded to the same folder 2015/06 (same as development site) even though that they were uploaded in different months.
    When I select a specific month some of the images shows but not all of them.
    If I search for by a file name the image show up in the results.
    On the site all the images display correctly however I cannot replace an image as I cannot find it, unless I do a name search.

    I’m not sure the cause for this problem and find it very confusing. any help with this will be great.

    Thanks,

    David

  • Hey David,

    Did you make sure and re-save the permalink settings on the new site?

    Thanks

    Hi Cory,

    Yes, I have done that. With no success to display the images.
    When I checked to day to see what is the status of this issue i.e. is it still in effect I was surprise to see that its no more…

    I’m not sure what have been changed if at all. I’m starting to suspect a long hang out to read and display the media library (even though that I was waiting for the page to render for along time with no success. today it render in less then 2 sec.

    Bottom line I don’t think this relates to the Duplicator plugin.

    On another note I do think that its bad that GoDaddy don’t support the plugin to run easily (a response from their support team). It took me a few trials before I revert to the manual extract that save the day.

    Thanks,

    David

    Hello Cory,
    I am getting this error message all the time I am trying to create a package :

    Server Status: 500 -Internal Server Error
    Error Message:
    Internal Server Error

    I get a big size warn (about 470 MB)

    Is that the issue ?

    Thanks

    Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

    @davidzohar

    This could have been a cache issue, when your on a shared host its usually not an option for you to recycle apache to make sure. Sometime it just has to be cleared by waiting a bit.

    @u82592106,

    Checkout this question on the FAQs page I believe it may help or provide some clues about this issue:
    -> Browse to: https://lifeinthegrid.com/duplicator-faq
    -> Find question: “I got an 500 server error message what should I do?”

    Hope that helps!
