Media Credit not shown beneath image

    Media Credit is just the Plugin I was looking for – I do need Credits displayed directly under the images in a new Website.

    It works while I choose “Display credits after posts”, however, this is not what I want.

    How can I get the Plugin to display the Credits directly under the Image itself?

    I am using Weaver II – Theme and several Plugins. Disabling Plugins did not solve the issue. Switching to one of WPs Standard Theme also did not work.

    Is there any code I need to edit in order to get this working?

    Is the theme (or a plugin) overriding the [caption] shortcode? If you’ve got a sample page online, I’ll have a look at it, otherwise there is not much I con do to debug your situation. Media Credit does display the credit next to the image by default.

    As mentioned above, the plugin did not work with Standard-Theme Twenty Fourteen either, so I am not sure whether it is the themes fault or I am doing something completely wrong.

    And what does the source for that article look like (only the part around the specific image is relevant)? You did insert the shortcode, no?

    For other readers: The [media-credit] shortcode was missing. It does NOT get added automatically to existing posts.

    Hello.

    I am a little novice when it comes to code. I installed the credit plugin and want to give credit to a photo. I added a new photo to an existing post. I do see the credit field and added the source to that field. When I update that post I do not see the credit. It is a featured image. Where do I need to add the [media-credit] shortcode?

    @hellobafl: Please create your own topic, do not hijack an old resolved one. And please have a look at the FAQ. Credits for featured images have to be supported by the (child) theme, the plugin can’t do it automatically.

    Sorry. New to this.
