Media button and Text Tab not working 3.5.1

    Freshly installed WP 3.5.1.

    Currently showing Twenty Twelve Theme and ALL plugins are disabled.

    When I click on the media button, nothing happens. When I click on the TEXT tab to add HTML and nothing happens.

    I’ve downloaded 3.5.1 again and copied over all the files except wp-content just to see if it would help, but again nothing.

    Ideas? Solutions

    Okay, just found a solution, but I’m not sure WHY it works.

    I added:

    define(‘CONCATENATE_SCRIPTS’, false);

    to wp-config.php

    While it solved the problem, can someone explain WHY it worked?
