Media Button and Text not working

  • in one of my wordpress sites [https://judilakeproductions.com] i can no longer add media nor view text in any of my pages or posts — HELP??????

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder and wp-config.php & root .htaccess files – from a fresh download of WordPress. Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new ones.

    Did this solve your issue? I’m having the same problem. I’ve deactivated all plug-ins and reset the plugins folder through FTP. That didn’t change anything. I’m about to switch to the default theme. The last step scares me a bit so I’m not ready to do that unless i know thats what has to be done.

    @chrishuovinen: It is considered impolite to interrupt another poster’s ongoing thread unless you are posting a solution or suggestion. It causes significant problems for the forum’s volunteers and prevents us from being able to track issues by topic. Please post your own topic.

    I’m sorry that I came across as impolite but i’m having the exact same issue. I thought it would be helpful to know that this isn’t just a one time occurrence and that more than 1 person is experiencing this problem.

    These forums have guidelines. Please read them.

    As you will see, one of these guidelines – entitled Where to Post – specifically states:

    Unless you are using the same version of WordPress on the same physical server hosted by the same hosts with the same plugins, theme & configurations as the original poster, do not post in someone else’s thread. Start your own topic.

    Please abide by this.

    Thank you esmi — the only thing I have not tried is re-installing a new wordpress via ftp — this is a business site but because I have deadlines needed to be completed today I will attempt this last step tomorrow with a clearer head – I will let you know the results – chrishuovinen, if I can come up with a solution I will let you know – this is extremely frustrating but at the same time I think it may have happened by something very simple that I didn’t catch – thank you all –
