• Last week I upgraded my wordpress installation to 3.0. I am having issues with media uploads, though it doesn’t seem to be relevant to anything written in the stickied post about media. Occasionally I like to post photos outside of the post/page add new. When you do this, the image is not attached to a post or page, so it can’t be shown publicly. In order to have it public, it needs to get “attached” to a particular post or page. In the past I had no issues doing this. However, I am not able to attach images to pages after upgrading. There is an option to search posts or pages, but even if I click the pages option, only posts are shown. I tried other browsers to see if it was a browser issue, but it is not. Anyone have any ideas on why this no longer works for me?

No. In order to appear in a specific gallery, an image has to be attached to the appropriate Post or Page. Other than that you can add any images you want – providing you use the correct markup and a full image url.

I’m having a similar issue where I cannot find pages to attach images to. When I search for a page that exists, it does not come back with a ‘no pages found’ message. If I search for a page that does not exist, then it does come back with ‘no pages found’.
