I’ve logged in to my WP today and saw I needed to update MEC, Divi Builder, Divi Theme and another plugin. MEC won’t update until I authenticate my Divi API key. I’ve done it like 10 times. Refreshed. Cleared browser cache. It’s the only plugin asking for this and I’ve never had this problem on any of my other Divi websites/plugins. However, this is my first time using MEC.

    Hello,
We reported this topic and issue to Divi Theme support, and they said they would check it. You can report this issue separately to them.

Problem is not solved by now.
I can update any plugin, but not the modern events calendar lite.
There is an actual update for Divi, i installed it.
Seems it has nothing to do with Divi, as all plugins work well and can be updated.
The only plugin, that does not update is modern events calendar lite.

    Please solve this problem!
    Thanks.

    Hello baschwa,
We would report the issue and ask them to fix it. But it is a good idea that you report them the issue as well to increase the request on this case.

Well, here’s the thing, and I mean no harm but, if all other plugins are fine and yours is the only one doing this, why would the problem be with Divi? I think this is what we aren’t understanding. How did you come to this conclusion?

    Hello @megami20,
Before we release the free version to our users, DIVI theme intoruced pro version to the users and offered using it.
Pro plugin has a feature of auto update which conflicts with DIVI auto update. That’s why they disabled the auto update for MEC. But because the free and pro version have the same core, this has happened for the free version too and unfortunately we can’t do anything.

I’m just going to have to go ahead and find another calendar. I would purchase the pro version because I’d rather use the shortcode anyway but, I’m not going to buy something I can’t even get the free version to update properly.
