Hello. i have noted that the time on a specific page is shown and pretty accurate when the logged user stays on that page and then jumps to another page on the same site, but if he/she closes the browser window for any reason i can not see the time on that page in the access log section. still see the access on the page.
Is there esometing i am doing worng? Is it possible to have it even if the logged user closes the browaser?

Unfortunately, being HTTP a stateless protocol, there’s no way to track when that happens. If you want better accuracy, we have a Slimstat add-on that implements a partial workaround to this problem:

    that’s great.

i think i will take it as soon i define other stuff, last question:
what about this ping and GDPR should i warn the user that his browser is doing this action?

    Thanks

@mhanu70 I’m not an expert in GDPR regulations (so much to learn!), but my overall understanding is that as long as they are informed that a COOKIE is being setup on their machine, then the ping should not require any extra warnings on your end. But again, you may want to ask an expert (and maybe report back so that others in the same situations know how to proceed).

Please consider writing a review for Slimstat as a token of appreciation for the support you received. It would be a nice way to say thank you and to let people know how much you value this plugin:
