    Please check for the plugins you have enabled on your website. Maybe a plugin or your website theme is causing such an issue.

    Is there a way a captcha can be used to prevent bots spamming?

    You can apply captcha and then see if this solves the problem or not.

    QSM plugin already has ‘Captcha’ question type. You can use this question type in your survey to solve the issue of bot spamming.

    It’s the comments area that is being spammed. Is there a way to add a Captcha to that as I cant see it?

    You can add ‘Captcha’ question type into the survey. But comments area will come after that if you have enabled it. So, I don’t know whether this will solve the problem or not.

    The issue of bot spamming is not occurring because of QSM plugin. You can search on Google regarding this issue.
