Maxbuttons GA tracking breaks with Google Tag Manager

    We have Maxbuttons set up to track events in Google Analytics, and it was working fine until we installed “DuracellTomi’s Google Tag Manager for WordPress” plug-in for Adwords remarketing. The Maxbuttons button events stopped firing after GTM installation. We lost 2 weeks of event and goal data because of this. Any idea why they are incompatible? The only way we could get our events firing again was to disable tracking in Maxbuttons and do it through Google Tag Manager.

    Are you using the latest version of MaxButtons PRO? I believe that the Google Tag plugin you refer to is using the newer ‘Gtag.js’ script . We put support for that in version 7.2.3.
