Max zoom gives a grey screen

Hi David,
The maximum zoom level is already set to 19, which is common for most Map Tile servers (except for the (current) last option in the drop down select).

If the tiles are not loading, it could be the map tile server is too busy. Most of them rely on donations, being OpenSource.
You could try using a different map tile server.

In the soon to be released version I will add two additional map tile servers which might also solve that problem.

You may be right I tried every Map Style option available from your plugin (settling on the ArcGIS TopoMap because for me it was the easiest to read, but not one of them allowed me to go to 19, there appears to be no way within the plugin to change the map server at the moment and I am loathed to try and delve into your code just to make that change, but what I actually meant was that it would be nice if one could set a maximum magnification level on the map not just a starting level

That last part I can do ??
I will incorporate the max zoom in the next release.

To be honest I actually prefer the ArcGIS TopoMap to Googles maps because I don’t have to remove all the incorrect data, annoyingly a few years back Google decided to add ski pistes to their maps, the pistes are not always correct and because Google decided to no longer support ski pistes they have kept the data on the maps but there is no method of fixing incorrect data ….

Fortunately Wikipedia is open to user submission, so you could tell them so color it blue and they probably will.

I’m sure they will I just can’t work out how to make a submission to the maps part of wikimedia

Ironically the method is to go and fix it on open maps, that would be fine if it was broken on open maps but it’s not LOL Just as bad as trying to fix pistes on Google it seems LOL
