Max Upload Size

    I’m trying to prevent a client from uploading images that are 27mb. I’ve told him multiple times not to do that and showed him how to compress them down. So I was wondering if I set a max upload size in either htaccess or wp-config files, will I run into issues with plugin and theme updates?
