    Thanks. I appreciate it.

    It works okay w/ Safari. I don’t like the other ‘brand x’ browsers (I don’t find it particularly easy to edit w/ Safari). I’m thinking it might be a plug-in.

    There are other complaints on both the Apple and Firefox fora but nothing definitive.

    I do find if I don’t ever close the WP site there are no problems.

    Everything worked fine w/ Mountain Lion, problems only started w/ the update.

    Right now it looks like the culprit is WangGuard plug in.

    Now it looks as if the problem is video embeds, the javascript doesn’t work and the page locks.

    Moving the embeds off the WordPress front page seems to have solved the problem: the //more// tag.
