Material is disappearing from website

  • We’ve set up WordPress website about a year ago, and since more then 60 articles have disappeared from website. What could be the reason? Please help.

  • You can try to contact your hosting provider and ask him to restore the lost article (if he has the backup). And, also, you can find out with the help of provider why you lost them (perhaps, some logs will be helpful).
    However you can try to recall, whether you do something before articles have been lost?

    If you look on the dashboard under “posts”, are they there? Is anything in trash?

    Thank you for advice, just checked Trash, Drafts folder, not there ?? Could it be that we haven’t upgraded template? Or that our website admin seems to failed backing up website content when he last upgraded template?

    Stuff just doesn’t disappear and upgrading a theme should not cause data loss. Do you have any plugins that might “expire” old posts?
