Hi there ! I hope I can get an answer from you since I contacted Facebook for Woocommerce plugin (Facebook pixel) and never got any answer…

I am having problems to match the product id in my Facebook catalogue (generated by a xml feed using your plugin) and the content_id generated by the Facebook pixel itself. Without that I cannot use dynamic remarketing ads…

Here is an example. On a product on my website such as “pique ethnique” you get from the pixel these informations :
    fbq(‘track’, ‘ViewContent’, {
    “content_ids”: “[\”wc_post_id_4638\”]”,

But in the Facebook catalogue / feed you get only this:
    <g:title>Pique Ethnique</g:title><g:id>4638</g:id>

So clearly there are additional letters that should be in the feed : “wc_post_id_”.

Is there any way I can add them to my feed in order to match the Facebook pixel information? Otherwise I cannot use dynamic ads on Facebook ??

Thank you very much for your answer.

    Best regards,

    Laurine from AVTM Bijouterie Nomade

  • Hi Laurine,

Thanks for using our plugin and reaching out to us.

Yes this is possible since the latest release of our plugin (so make sure you are using version 4.5.0). All you need to do is add the ‘wc_post_id_’ as a suffix before the ID field on the field mapping page.

    Like this:
    https://www.dropbox.com/s/723sf0se9uk1szd/FB-ID.png?dl=0

Than the wc_post_id_ will be put in front of your product ID.

    Hope this makes sense?

    All the best,
    Eva

Ha sorry I spoke too fast… It is actually still giving me a bug coz it add a space after “wc_post_id_ ”

    I get this: “wc_post_id_ 1464” instead of this: “wc_post_id_1464”

Can I do something about this ?

I downloaded the new version of your plugin and now it seems to work ! Thank you for the update.

Sorry to bother again but it seems that my problem also came from a missing item_group_id, I also need to add this “wc_post_id_” as prefix but without the space, could you correct this as well ?

    Thank you !

Thanks Jan, issue is back on the radar now it is open again ??

avtmbijouterienomade with regards to your question: we have tested the issue at hand and it no longer puts the space in between the wc_post_id_ and product ID. Just make sure you create a field mapping that looks like this:

    https://www.dropbox.com/s/723sf0se9uk1szd/fb-id.png?dl=0

Make sure you put the wc_post_id_ in the prefix field (do not put spaces before or after it).

When you did so and you still have a space in between it than make sure you have cleared the cache of your browser or when you are running a caching plugin make sure that is flushed too.

    Hope this helps?

    All the best,
    Eva

Hi Eva, thank you for your answer. The problem was actually not with the “product_id” but with the “item_group_id”. I corrected the first and it worked. But I also need to add this “wc_post_id_” as prefix in “iem_group_id”… Could you correct this as well ?

    Thank you !

    Hi avtmbijouterienomade,

This will be possible in the next release of our plugin (version 4.6.0). It will work the exact same way as the product id solution.

    Have a wonderful weekend,
    Eva
