• Can someone help explain to me how to use “match day”?

We have a new sport, and in addition to general games, there will be days where multiple teams will play at the same venue. Sort of like a tournament, but it won’t be an actual bracket/winner type of thing, more like a round-robin set of games.

I’d like to be able to promote all of the games that will be “at South University on December 12”. I “think” that’s what the match day is supposed to be about, but I can’t find anything that really explains it.

I do not want to use the tournament option. When messing with it, it created too many issues.

  • Hi!

    Thanks for reaching out!

The idea of the matchdays feature is to sub-divide a tournament. For example if you have a big tournament you could divide it into 30 matchdays so it’s easier to manage which teams won in each round

Thank you very much. As I explained before, we might have a “meet” where several teams are invited to play, but it isn’t a “tournament” style. It is counted as part of the regular season. It’s just a way to have teams come to one place to play several games and save money and travel time.

I’ve tested this out by creating a match day called “Hofstra 12-10” to designate the home team and date for this meet, and applied it to each of the games being played there. It seems to work out.

Is there a better way to do this, or is this the way you would accomplish what we’re trying to do?

    Hi!

That seems to be a nice use of the matchday feature ??

Another idea would be using a competition just to hold all these matches together but I don’t think it’s going to be necessary as it’s working as it is right now

    Kind Regards,
