How do I match custom fields I have created in Constant contact to custom fields in my WP form?

    Hi @mdegive

Not quite following. Are you referring to adding some custom fields on the form created by our plugin, and having them match up with existing custom fields already shown in your ConstantContact.com dashboard?

If yes, it should be just a matter of copy/pasting the existing custom field keys into the field able to be created with the Forms plugin here. Is that not working thus far?

Yes that is what I am trying to do.
Not sure what you mean by copy/paste the custom field, I don’t see that is possible to do.

For example I have created a custom field in CC called Source, I want to add that field in the WordPress CC form, at the bottom you can add custom fields but there is no name for the field, so how can I match it to the CC custom field?

    wish I could show you a screenshot…

Are you referring to this “Source” column? I’m looking at a contact in one of my lists in my dev account.

no “source” is just one of my custom fields, I have others like “volunteer Position”, etc. Any custom field…

Thank you for your patience with this.

Upon further review, we’re noting and realizing that the current version of the plugin is hardcoded to use the “custom field 1”, “custom field 2”, etc convention that is largely from the older Constant Contact API version that the plugin utilizes. Previously the fields weren’t customizable in name from my understanding

We’re in the works of getting the plugin to make use of the current API version, which is version 3, but I believe we’ll also need to get integration with custom names for custom fields capabilities added to the plugin as well. So at least for the moment, it’s not possible, with the WordPress Constant Contact Forms plugin. The forms that you can create from right in your Constant Contact account dashboard should be fully compatible though, and those should be easily placed wherever you can put custom markup in your website.

The CC forms work great except there is no notification email going out and I do need that.

So I am really stuck here until you fix the WP plugin. Any ETA on that?

The email part sounds like an unrelated issue than the custom fields portion, but in regards to the custom fields update, we can’t promise an ETA for it.

Have you disabled cron via a setting in the admin area? That may help

Updates around the custom field detail will be coming in a near future major release of the plugin. It won’t be the next release, but very likely the release after the next. It is definitely coming.
