    Hi

I’ve been looking for a better gallery plugin than my current one – Nextgen – for quite a while now.

I came across yours in a forum and decided to give it a try. It’s looking really good! The images in my galleries are so much clearer than in the Nextgen version that you can see above yours in this test page:

    https://www.broughtonschoolofmotoring.com/nextgen-reviewsxxx

And your plugin is so much easier to use. Nextgen is NOT intuitive!

    Just one problem.

I’m using the Masonry layout and specified 3 columns but it isn’t responsive. There is no break point, the display stays at 3 columns whatever the screen size is. So in a mobile, the images are really small.

Is there a way to make the gallery responsive? I’d like the number of columns to go from 3 to 2 to 1 as the screen size decreases.

By the way, I’ve tried using the Responsive Gallery layout but whatever size thumbnail I use, it crops the images instead of using the whole image. See: https://ibb.co/F7VrBDD

If I could avoid the cropping, that could be a solution.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi @stevethefootycoach

I had a look at your page. The gallery has been changed to the default gallery template. Please can you change it back to masonry so we can have a look

    hi @stevethefootycoach

There is a jquery error on your page. Please can you clear your optoptomize cache.

Also, please can you use the fixed width masonry gallery instead of the 3 column one.

    That’s great!

    The gallery is now responsive.

I did add foogallery.min.js to AO’s excluded js scripts but it had the effect of stopping the gallery loading on a tablet or mobile. Strange. But now I’ve removed it, the gallery loads just fine.

Will I have to keep clearing the autoptimise cache? Is the jquery error going to come back if I don’t?

Many thanks for all your help, it’s much appreciated.

    Glad you got it working.

No you should not have to keep clearing the AO cache, as long as FooGallery is included in the cache.

    Thanks.

You might like to know that the page the gallery is now installed on

loads much faster with FooGallery than it did when I used a NextGen gallery. Fewer requests and a lighter page all round. So well done.

Thanks again, you’ve been super helpful.
