• Hello.

I started my blog (lonelytumbler.com) by forwarding my old adress to the domain I bought from GoDaddy (lonelytumbler.com). Everythig is working fine, except few stuff. Login / Register page doesn’t work with .com/wp-login and posts don’t show the link after .com as it should (for example .com/postname)

After some research I edited some stuff in phpmyadmin so I set home url to lonelytumbler.com as I couldn’t set other for one reason – my theme stopped working and admin would not work too.

    Please help me!

  • Hello LonelyBlogger.

In your Settings > Permalink Settings, make sure your Common Settings are set to Post Name.

    Try logging in by typing
    lonelytumbler.com/wp-admin
    or
    lonelytumbler.com/wp-login.php.

    Good luck!

Sorry lost my lonelyblogger’s password so I am replying with this.

So I have set permalinks to post names, but the problem is that with .com domain at the end none of those links work. Perhaps that might be cause I haven’t set my siteurl to lonelytumbler.com, but if I do my site stops working, although I set home url to lonelytumbler.com and nothing got messed up. I also want to say that when I go to posts it doesn’t show my links, although when I try to share with social media icons, the link appears properly. Please visit: lonelytumbler.com and take a look by your self. I seek for huge help!

P.S I live outside of US, Uk and I have bought GoDaddy domain. Now I can’t contact them cause they only accept phone calls, so frustrating.

Update** I have been thinking quite a lot now, so I decided to set up another web host (I am using high quality free web host, that I have used for years and I trust it). I didn’t choose to use sub domain and decided to use my bought domain (lonelytumbler.com) than it asked me to configure my domain settings with nameservers the web host gave to me. I did that and it told me to wait up to 24 hours. I don’t know why but I have a good feeling about this. I dont want to stop because of troubles, because my blog was receiveing huge amount of views in that last couple of days (only 3 day blog got up to 63 views per day) so wish me luck!! I will provide information in the future, here in this thread.

The website is now fixed. I just set it up wrong, all my fault.

    Congratulations! Have fun!
