Mashing up tags and links

  • Two issues

    1. Why are the people who allegedly improve WordPress always messing with things that ain’t broke? So, what has happened to links? I have to click twice in order to modify the text. And the double highlighting? What’s that all about? Why, the ‘improvement’ serves no useful purpose. It doesn’t make it work better or easier. I just don’t get it. Less is more!

    2. Tags: if I enter a tag that’s just initials, for example MH17, WordPress now prepends a # to the letters but this doesn’t appear in the actual text, so why do it? Tags are tags, I don’t want WP changing things just because some programmer thinks it looks neat or whatever.

    It’s the incessant and irritating messing with things that serve NO USEFUL purpose whatsoever! WordPress is neither easier to use, nor quicker to use, so why do it?

    It’s like whoever these geeks are, they have to keep picking at things.
