New to WP and currently only using MarsEdit for my desktop blogging tool but I’m wonding this: How can I get MarsEdit and/or Ecto to edit WP 1.5 Pages?

What I’d like to do is set up my church website using WP 1.5 and a desktop blogging tool to manage the entire site. But I’m not sure how to allow potential content updaters to manage Pages via MarsEdit and/or Ecto. Any help is much appreciated.

I’ll check those out but if any WP user knows the answer please post it here. Thanks.

Here is the response I got from Brent Simmons of Ranchero regarding my question above:

I don’t know that it’s actually possible. The existing weblog APIs don’t have methods for dealing with pages, just weblog posts, unless there’s something tricky the WP folks have done to make this possible. (They’d know better than I would.)

Of course — it would be darn cool to be able to edit pages in MarsEdit, and I hope that this will be possible in the future.

Looks like someone from WP needs to answer this question. Ideas as to who would have an answer for me? I guess what I need to know now is whether or not WP 1.5 has built in the ability via the API to edit Pages.
