  • Hi Miguel,
the link to the page you posted does not exist.
Anyway: I loaded my test maps on IE10 and they work as expected. So I cant really reproduce this issue on my sites…
    best,
    Robert

    Hi,
Thank you for your fast response. The correct URL is https://www.alkawaterpr.com/puntos-de-venta/ sorry for the inconvenience.
Your help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi Miguel,
the url loads correctly on IE10 (on Win7) – I am not having any issues. Please check if your IE10 has any special configurations/addons…if yes, try disabling them to see if this works…
    best,
    Robert

i have not verified that. I tried on another computer with IE 8 and it didn’t show either. This is what happens, the page loads, the map loads, the markers load for half a second and then the marks disappear.

IE 10 on Win7? access through same Internet provider / network?

Same provider different ip address, one was win 7 and the other was win vista.

too bad – currently I am not having any clue what could cause this issue on your site. If you have any new information / test results (from more other computers eg) let me know!

I’ll keep you posted. Thanks for the fast response non the less.

    Hi,

You should try and toggle compatibility view of your browser (the icon left from refresh icon in the url field)

It makes the icons disappear on mine

Thanks for pointing this out. You′re right: if compatibility mode is active, markers dont show. As compatibility mode is deactivated by default, I′d advise to also turn it off for your site (if that is the reason why the markers are not showing for you)

It does make sense. But, what if the user has it disabled, he won’t understand that. What can I do so that he can see it?

    Hi Miguel,

Is compatibility mode the reason why you don’t see the markers ?

If yes, I don’t think you have an issue with displaying markers in IE10 (not even in IE8 and IE9).

Only IE7 seems to have problems displaying them (try and hit F12 on your browser and change Browser mode).

On https://leafletjs.com/features.html they say IE7 and IE6 are supported but it may not be true. Anyway, it is a bit of a nonsense to use these browsers.

I think the issue is more with IE10: why is it so easy to turn on compatibility mode with nothing to remind the user of this state (compatibility mode is a developer tool and should stay in the developer tools view)

    Does it make sense ?

Sorry, I got lost there. If the problem is with the browser I dont have any control of what my users see. How can I fix it on the plug in?

as far as I understand your issue, there shouldnt be any problems for normal users with IE10: by default, compatibility mode in IE10 is turned off and it has to be enabled by user for each site he wants to use the compatibility mode. So my guess is that 99% of the users wont run into your issue.
