Hi, sometimes we encounter failed orders due to payment issues. After trying a few times, we mark them as canceled, but your plugin is directly changing the status to “refund.” This leads to incorrect statistics because total sales are being reduced as a result.

    Hi @beycanpress

Can you share how you came to the conclusion that this plugin was responsible for marking the orders as refunded?

On the Advanced Settings page do you have the plugin configured to refund cancelled orders?

    Kind Regards

I’m using your plugin for Stripe and after a few payments have been tried, if I mark the payment as canceled, it stays that way. Since it is not a completed payment, it is not included in the statistics.

However, in your PayPal plugin, even though the payment is not completed, when we mark the payment as canceled, it is automatically refunded and this is reflected as a negative value in the statistics.

Are you talking about this setting?

    Hi @beycanpress

Are you talking about this setting?

Yes, that is the setting I am referring to. I recommend you disable that setting since it sounds like you don’t want a refund object to be created.

I’ve made a note to update that functionality. Right now it’s written so if there is no transaction ID, a refund object is created which results in the status being set to refunded. I don’t think that’s the proper sequence and it should behave like the Stripe plugin.

    Kind Regards

    Okay, I disabled it.

    Hi @beycanpress

Version 1.0.54 released which matches the behavior of the Stripe plugin with regard to a cancelled order where payment was not processed.

    Kind Regards

It depends on your business process. If you want the plugin to process a refund or void an authorization when you cancel an order then you can enable that feature.
