    Hi all,

So as the title says am a complete novice when it comes to WordPress and blogging but was looking for some help regarding marking my site as Mature.

My blog is basically about my time in the adult industry so will contain bad language and the like. Obviously it would be aimed at a mature audience but when I googled how to do this the only option I found was for WordPress.com and not .org. I’m worried about whether sites get shut down if not marked right? I have had a quick look on the forums and saw one guy advise someone to use an age verify plug in but when I searched for that and read the reviews of the one deemed most suitable it seemed like people had had problems with the coding etc with it and I literally need the most basic advice possible as I am hopeless with anything technical so don’t want to download something that means I have to tweak it or do anything other than simply download it and run it as I am completely rubbish at all that sort of thing…

Hope I haven’t waffled on too much and that this all makes sense!

    Thanks in advance ??

    Jaye x

I’m not sure I understand, are you saying you have a WordPress.com site? It’s just that there are no rules or guidelines on the “WordPress” software that is distributed on www.remarpro.com that would prevent adult content.

    Hi,

Sorry, I knew I was rambling!

Basically I came across this: https://en.support.wordpress.com/mature-content/

and when I went to let respond by letting them know my own site will contain mature themes, I was told my site was www.remarpro.com and not .com so I wasn’t able to add it. I was just curious if I had to add a disclaimer to my site generally to let audiences know it was for Mature audiences and whether there was a rule on that.

Am completely new to this whole website/blogging set up!

The disclaimer on WordPress.com sites is not applicable to www.remarpro.com sites because they are different software. So don’t worry about any rules that WordPress.com have, they do not apply to you.

Ah brilliant, thank you so much! I was just concerned that the site can get shut down if there’s no appropriate rating on it

But your hosting provider (where you install WordPress) might have rules about the kind of site that could be hosted with them, so double check their terms and conditions. Although I doubt a bit of bad language would worry them!
